Dr. Todd R. Shepler is a board certified ophthalmologist with fellowship training in oculoplastic and reconstructive surgery who specializes in cosmetic and reconstructive eyelid, orbital, and tear drain surgery. Dr. Shepler is one of the leading oculoplastic specialists in the greater Austin area. He has been practicing for 14 years, and is widely considered by his peers to be among the best oculoplastic surgeons in the country.​

Dr. Shepler graduated with honors from the University of Kansas and in 1993 with a bachelor’s degree in Human Biology and a minor in Chemistry. He then attended the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. After medical school, Dr. Shepler completed a transitional year internship at Brackenridge Hospital in Austin, Texas. He completed a three-year residency in ophthalmology and served as Chief Resident at California Pacific Medical Center. He then completed a two-year fellowship in Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive surgery in Austin, Texas.

Dr. Shepler is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He has been practicing in the Austin area since 2002. Dr. Shepler has also been actively teaching students, interns, residents, and fellows in the central Texas area since 2002. He served as President of the Austin Ophthalmology Society from 2003-2005. Dr. Shepler was  awarded to Texas Monthly’s Super Doctors list, which is only given to the top 5% of doctors in Texas, for the 4th consecutive year in 2016.
